Savor the decadence of Honey-Infused French Toast, a breakfast delight enriched with warm honey, cream, and aromatic vanilla. This easy and delicious recipe is a perfect way to start your day.

Things you need

  • 2 tablespoons honey, warmed

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • eggs

  • 1 cup whipping cream

  • 1 loaf French bread

  • 1 tsp vanilla or 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • Approx. 4 tablespoons butter

  • Whipped cream, favourite fruit, and syrup for topping

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Cut French bread into 1-inch thick slices.
  • Warm 2 tablespoons of honey in the microwave until runny. Approx. 10 seconds
  • In a large casserole dish, whisk together 3 eggs, 1 cup cream, 1 tsp vanilla or 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp salt, and 2 tablespoons honey until fully combined.
  • Soak bread slices in the egg mixture for a few seconds on each side.
  • On medium-high heat, warm butter in a pan and cook each side of bread for 2-3 minutes until golden.
  • Transfer to a baking pan with a cooling rack, and finish in the oven for 5 minutes.
  • Serve immediately with whipped cream, your favorite fruit, and syrup.

Notes

  • Day old Bread works best to soak up the flavours.
