2 lbs beef
2 tablespoons grated ginger (see notes)
½ cup soy sauce of choice(naked and saucy suggested)
⅓ cup mirin
⅓ cup cooking sake
⅓ cup sugar of choice (monk fruit suggested)
Optional: ½ cup frozen peas
Directions
- Preheat your non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Brown the beef, breaking it into bite-sized pieces, for approximately 15 minutes.
- Whisk the remaining ingredients in a bowl until well combined, then add to the beef.
- Continue cooking for another 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the liquid is absorbed.
- Optional: Add peas with the marinade, stirring until well mixed and cooked off.
- Serve hot over your choice of rice, topped with a soft poached egg, green onion, and avocado slices.
Notes
