For Ear Aches and Minor Skin and Eye Irritations: - Garlic and Olive Oil Ear Drops: Mix WARM not hot olive oil and crushed garlic for a few minutes, then strain. Use as natural drops to relieve mild earache or infection symptoms.
(Always test sensitivity first!) - Oatmeal Baths for Skin Irritations: Grind oats into a powder and sprinkle them into a warm bath to soothe dry, irritated skin and provide relief for conditions like eczema. An oldy but a goody!
- Used Tea Bag for a Sty in the Eye: Place warm used black tea bag over closed eye for 20 mins up to a few times a day. It will reduce irritation and help the body get rid of the sty.
- Chamomile Tea Compress for Pink Eye: Soak a chamomile tea bag in warm water and apply it as a compress over the eyes to soothe irritation.
To Help the Common Cold Symptoms: - Strong Salt Gargle for Sore Throat: Mix salt with warm water to gargle, reducing throat discomfort and fighting bacteria. Warning do not swallow large amounts of salt. I recommend doing small amounts at first because this can evoke the gag reflex.
- Eucalyptus Steam for Congestion: Add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to a bowl of hot water. Inhale the steam under a towel to relieve nasal congestion and clear sinuses.
Any Cuts, Bruises and Burns: - Aloe Vera Gel from a Plant for Minor Cuts and Burns: Apply fresh aloe vera gel directly to minor cuts and burns for its soothing and healing properties.
- Red and Infrared Light for Bumps and Bruises: Using these amazing light and invisible light sources help all around the house for minor bumps and bruises to reduce swelling. Better than Ice! even has been shown to help promote faster healing.
